In making this film we tried to create a film noir mood. It was difficult due to the fact that the film was in French but we still managed to pull it off.

Two close brothers, living in a slum in Rio de Janeiro, experience all of the life's difficulties and pleasures together with their mother. They are José, Josué and Josefa, but the friendship between them is interrupted by a tragic accident. José, being the older of the two, is blamed for the tragedy and runs away from home. Is his brother's death something about which he should feel guilty? Or can the affection he and his mother feel for each other overcome their pain and remind them of their shared happy memories?

A kid who loves to draw finishes his drawing when he is old. This video demonstrates that a deep story can be told in a playful way. With a dry erase board, the animation part shows a small dinosaur growing up; drawing and erasing over and over.

Closer

Winner of the ESFF Award 2009
"Closer" is a film told through a narrative development. Its first plot point in fact begins at the start when the story commences in the future and eclipses back into time so the audience can comprehend the reason for why this girl has been tied up in a trunk. The story builds up gradually to come falling down in its unexpected ending. The intention of the film is to build tension to create fear in the audience in addition to tricking them. "Closer" is characterized as horror as it deals with elements of fear if no one dies.
